On Charlie Rose, President Obama tried to explain Syria by telling us we are dumb, we lack the necessary information, and we should never question his decisions (Starts at 10:35m). In effect, the professor professorializes: We are dumber than dumb. True if he tells us so.
Maybe you share with us how we interpreted his remarks:
In fact, we are dumber than dumb and we did not know it before the President told us. Hiding behind secretive discussions in the Situation Room is intended to shut all the simpletons that we are.
We wonder how the conversations went in the Situation Room when the first moderate FSA defectors were fleeing Assad's army and Mr. Obama refused to arm them, which invited extremism on both sides in the Muslim world to duke it out, in Syria, a la 7th century.
We wonder how the conversation went in the Situation Room after the president witnessed the atrocities being perpetrated by the Assad regime against civilians to include women and children. This part seems not to enter any of the equations the super humanitarian Barack Obama must have calculated in his formula of appeasement and apathy towards the Syrian civil war raging.
Maybe Barack Obama hopes it spills into Israel. That should put a smile on his face.
Or maybe Barack Obama thinks that few thousands Syrians is not a big of a number to bother with. The number must reach into the millions for him to bother tackling the Syrian tragedy. Obama is that big of a man. His problems need to be as big as he is.
More than brains, we need information and facts to assess for ourselves, not a professor professorializing.
