An ode to American reporters.

What do you tell a family whose son has been beheaded by savages who claim your religion?

What do you tell a mother who nurtured that child and immersed him with love just to see him perish so savagely at the hands of terrorists who claim your religion?

What do you tell a father who saw his son grow strong and independent, proud of his accomplishments when he is murdered so barbarically at the hands of terrorists who claim your religion?

What do you tell a wife who misses the soothing voice of her husband and his warm presence when brutal primates who claim your religion take him away from her?

What do you tell a son who looks up to his father, watches the door for his daily arrival to show his silent love when he is killed by vicious men who claim your religion?

What do you tell a daughter who yearns for her daddy’s hugs and misses his laughter when he is no longer present because of primitive men who claim your religion?

What do you tell a proud nation who lost a piece of herself when the demise of one of her citizens is exhibited for the world to see as if to mock her strength when those accused claim your religion?

As Muslims, here is what we would do.

We would give their families a shoulder to cry on, we would comfort them with words of gratitude for their sacrifices, and then we would go get those bastards who killed in the name of our religion and kill them all.

Danny, James, and Steven, may you all rest in peace.
