Geneva II has been trumped by two important stories both circulating simultaneously in the western media and both backed by western intelligence.

One details how Assad released al-Qaeda prisoners from his cells in order to attribute the Syrian Revolution to terrorists and the other relates to the Assad torture dungeons through the release of gruesome pictures through a Syrian military intelligence operative named Caesar. The pictures clearly show starvation, torture, and killings reminiscent of Hitler during WWII.

Both stories, one must assume, will be denied by the Assad regime as part of a routine propaganda to shed doubt on the truth.

Many Syrians, at home or in the diaspora, who follow Syrian politics intimately are aware that the Assad regime is al-Qaeda’s number one secret provider as part of a strategy to scare the West into believing his regime is indispensable. Many in the West continue to fall for this ruse the way we did in Iraq forgetting that Assad is the arsonist and the fire fighter playing both roles to perfection. Without Assad and Iran, al-Qaeda would dither and die.

The fools who fell for Assad’s propaganda.

In The Telegraph of London where the story was published on Assad and al-Qaeda, intelligence sources said:

“The Syrian regime of President Bashar al-Assad has funded and co-operated with al-Qaeda in a complex double game even as the terrorists fight Damascus, according to new allegations by Western intelligence agencies, rebels and al-Qaeda defectors. Jabhat al-Nusra, and the even more extreme Islamic State of Iraq and al-Shams (ISIS), the two al-Qaeda affiliates operating in Syria, have both been financed by selling oil and gas from wells under their control to and through the regime, intelligence sources have told The Daily Telegraph. Rebels and defectors say the regime also deliberately released militant prisoners to strengthen jihadist ranks at the expense of moderate rebel forces. The aim was to persuade the West that the uprising was sponsored by Islamist militants including al-Qaeda as a way of stopping Western support for it.”

How did al-Qaeda elements respond to some of the acts of terror Assad attributed to them? The telegraph tells us what Mazen, one of those prisoners released said:

“There was no explanation for the release of the jihadis, I saw some of them being paraded on Syrian state television, accused of being Jabhat al-Nusra and planting car bombs. This was impossible, as they had been in prison with me at the time the regime said the bombs were planted. He [Assad} was using them to promote his argument that the revolution was made of extremists.”

In another article on the same subject, Michael Weiss writes:

“Actually, the jihadist groups and brigades were very useful for the regime because they provided a justification for the regime’s insistence on a military solution, and provided some legitimacy under the cover of the War on Terror. These groups did not cross the red lines that were agreed on by the regime and their sponsors. This included the regime accepting the killing by those groups of Alawis and Druze in order to use that to convince these minorities to rally around the regime and hold on to it.”

Assad permitted some of the jihadis to kill the minorities just so he can rally them behind his savagery. How is that for evil? How is that for The fools who fell for Assad’s propaganda?

For those with short memory, The Telegraph also brings Iraq into the picture.

“After September 11, he [Assad] co-operated with the United States’ rendition programme for militant suspects; after the invasion of Iraq, he helped al-Qaeda to establish itself in Western Iraq as part of an axis of resistance to the West; then when the group turned violently against the Iraqi Shias who were backed by Assad’s key ally, Iran, he began to arrest them again.”

Now, he unleashes the terrorists once again. His rendition system is nothing but a revolving door of terror right under the nose of the Western intelligence services. The fools who fell for Assad’s propaganda.

With regard to Assad’s dungeons of death, CNN reported that 11,000 Syrians were killed under torture considering the 26,000 photographs that were smuggled outside the country. Think about this for a moment. Assad releases real terrorists into the open that could threaten the region and then he kills innocent civilians his regime calls terrorists. How is that for a man who wears no beard and prays in no Mosque? Impressive evil, don’t you think? However, since he is an Alawite, we should all salute him and protect him, should we not? At least, some people think so.

We have written quite often about the evil of Assad, about his support for al-Qaeda, about his savagery, and about his crimes against humanity. After reviewing some of these stories being distributed widely, many of you will change your minds about who he really is, but many fools will continue to support him secretly even though he is the cause of most of the Islamic terror in the Levant. If so, then you deserve Assad. Syrians are happy to ship him to you free of charge once we dislodge him from Damascus.
