What is wrong with this picture? It is a clear picture of Barack Obama bowing before King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia upon his first visit to the kingdom in June of 2009. The president was attacked by the conservative media for his wanton and submissive bow before a Sunni monarch whose own citizenry played a major role in the 9/11 terror act. Today, however, Obama shifts the blame for his Iran policy unto those he bowed before.

In his recent The Atlantic interview, the spin was on. In it, Barack Obama shifts the blame by castigating the very same people he bowed before:

He [Obama] is clearly irritated that foreign-policy orthodoxy compels him to treat Saudi Arabia as an ally. And of course he decided early on, in the face of great criticism, that he wanted to reach out to America’s most ardent Middle Eastern foe, Iran.

So he bowed to the orthodoxy of US foreign policy.

The article then states Obama’s concerns with the Saudi monarchy:

Because, Obama answered, the Saudis and other Gulf Arabs have funneled money, and large numbers of imams and teachers, into the country. In the 1990s, the Saudis heavily funded Wahhabist madrassas, seminaries that teach the fundamentalist version of Islam favored by the Saudi ruling family, Obama told Turnbull. Today, Islam in Indonesia is much more Arab in orientation than it was when he lived there, he said.

How come this is the first time America is privy to Obama’s feelings towards Saudi Arabia? Do his words reconcile with him bowing to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia in 2009?

If anyone believes this hogwash, they ought to read Alinsky’s book “Rules for Radicals” Obama so much admires.

Rule No. 10 states, “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and becomes a positive”. Folks, it was never about Saudi Arabia. It always has been and will always be about harming Israel by empowering Iranian terror.

When King Abdullah died, Obama traveled to Saudi Arabia to pay his condolences to the very same Wahabists he is berating today in his Atlantic interview. At the same time, he skipped the California funeral of First Lady Nancy Reagan. Does that look like someone who hates Wahabism? It is all about Israel, folks.

Obama, who bowed before King Abdullah in 2009, is today finding an excuse for empowering Iran by scolding the very people he bowed before.

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt? To harm Israel.

The Iran Deal? To harm Israel.

Keeping Assad in power? To harm Israel.

Ignoring Hamas? To harm Israel.

Blaming the Saudis who see eye-to-eye with Israel on Iran? To harm Israel.

Obama wants to leave behind all the elements in place to harm Israel for the long-term. Of course he will take a pro-Israel public stand on smaller issues but the big threats he has implanted will eventually yield his intended goals.

Obama’s interview in the Atlantic does not reconcile with his actions in 2009 or later. Someone who hates Wahabism so much does not bow so low to its ideology.
