According to the Lebanese Forces website associated with the Maronite Christian community, there is a noticeable increase in the number of Iranian Revolutionary Guard falling in battle while fighting alongside the Assad regime. In one week of fighting, the battles recorded 27 dead IRGC terrorists.

The last two days, 12 IRGC terrorists died bringing the number of Iranian military death toll to about 27 dead IRGC terrorists in less than one week.

On Wednesday, the FARS News agency announced that Muslim Nasr, a second Lieutenant in the militia Brigade 33 of the IRGC , was “killed in Syria during armed clashes with the Free Syrian Army in the vicinity of the city of Aleppo, bringing the number of Iranians death toll to 12 during two days of fighting”.

The agency confirmed he died in the line of duty battling “Takfiri terrorists” in northern Syria, which is a label Iran applies to any Sunni fighting the Assad regime be he a moderate Free Syrian Army member or an Islamist.

The agency also announced the death of Khan Ali Youssefi, an Afghani resident of Iran and who was also killed battling the Free Syrian Army in the vicinity of Aleppo.

Wednesday’s announcement comes on the heels of another announcement made two days earlier, which detailed the death of 15 IRGC terrorists that took place last week to include officers in the IRGC and the Basiji units fighting alongside the Assad regime. All were killed in clashes battling the Syrian rebels during the past two days, thus bringing the number of Iranian military deaths, since the IRGC declared an increase in the number of Quds military advisers in Syria, to about 27 dead IRGC terrorists.

Furthermore, the Iranian media eulogized Amin Karimi, a member in the “Al-Ansar Battalion” tied to the Revolutionary Guards. It also eulogized “Abdullah Bagheri” bodyguard to the former Iranian President Ahmadinejad. Two weeks ago, Gen. Hussein Hamdani was also killed. He was considered one of the most prominent leaders of the Revolutionary Guards and the founder of the Militia for National Defense in Syria.

Reuters announced that hundreds of IRGC terrorists have arrived Syria since late last September to participate in a large ground offensive in the west and north-west of Syria.

Approximately, 1,500 IRGC terrorists are presently fighting in Syria.
